1979 ELECTRO HARMONIX LITTLE BIG MUFF PI - Modified｜ Other Products

Offered for sale is this vintage EH Little Big Muff Pi in good cosmetic condition and perfect working order. The pot code is 1979 making this beauty over 30 years old. It's been modified with a dual concentric pot on the side so it has all the control of a full-size Muff in the smaller case. Sounds huge, awesome and as good as a vintage op amp Muff should.
The Op Amp Big Muffs were famously-used by Smashing Pumpkins' Billy Corgan on Siamese dream - among many others…

It has scuffs, scratches and rust spots as you'd expect - plenty of mojo - but it looks good for a pedal that's been around over a quarter of a century (see detailed photos below). It's built like a tank - made in USA - and it sounds fantastic. Sonically this is similar to the V3 Big Muff - the classic Muff sound, but is very ballsy - more mid-scoop and bigger bottom maybe; there's bags of sustain and gain to be had.

These vintage units do sound far superior to the reissues in our opinion: this just oozes class and filth - try it on guitars, bass, keys - it makes synths sound incredible... This is a vintage pedal in good working order: please do not expect modern digital-era perfection.

At some point in its life it may have had a new battery connector. It can be powered by the supplied 9v battery or EH power supply (not included and untested with psu).
