Common Faults & Replacement Symptoms

Replace the oil filter cap if the existing cap is cracked, damaged, or no longer seals correctly on a compatible for Ford 6.0L or 6.4L Powerstroke Diesel oil filter housing.
Oil seepage or residue around the oil filter housing may indicate the cap or sealing area should be inspected before selecting this direct replacement oil filter cap.
A rounded or damaged tool engagement surface can make oil filter service difficult and may require replacement for EC781 style cap fitment.
Damaged threads or poor cap seating can prevent correct closure of the oil filter housing on listed for Ford Super Duty and Excursion diesel applications.
This oil filter cap is not normally associated with a specific diagnostic trouble code. If low oil pressure warnings or engine performance concerns are present, inspect the full lubrication system before replacing parts.
