Naud XO Cognac is the extra-old expression from the Naud family, whose roots in Charente distilling go back to 1856. It blends well-aged eaux-de-vie from the family's reserves, matured far beyond the XO minimum in French oak, and is bottled at 40% ABV.It pours a deep, alluring amber. The nose is rich dried fruit, warm spice and subtle florals with a gentle hint of oak. The palate is lush with ripe fruit, vanilla and caramel and the warmth of well-aged wood, in a balanced, mature and luxurious profile, and the finish is enduring and elegant. It is a cognac for slow neat sipping.Presented in a decanter-style bottle and gift box, this 750ml XO is a strong value against the big houses.
