The NiSi Wide Conversion Lens (PR-10) is a precision-engineered 0.78x wide-angle adapter designed for the Ricoh GR series of compact cameras. Built for street photographers, travel shooters, and creative professionals who want to expand their field of view without sacrificing the GR’s legendary image quality, this conversion lens transforms your fixed-lens compact into a wider, more versatile tool for capturing expansive scenes.
Wider Perspectives for GR Shooters
Mounted on the Ricoh GR III or GR IV, the 0.78x conversion factor shifts the native 28mm equivalent lens to an effective 21mm focal length, opening up significantly wider framing for landscapes, architecture, interiors, and environmental portraits.
On the GR IIIx, the 40mm equivalent is brought down to approximately 31mm, delivering a natural wide-angle perspective that suits street photography and documentary work. The wider field of view adds depth and context to every frame without introducing the distortion often associated with dedicated wide-angle lenses.
Seamless Macro Mode Integration
Unlike many third-party conversion lenses, the NiSi PR-10 is fully compatible with the GR series Macro Mode. This means you can switch between wide-angle perspectives and close-up detail shots without removing the lens, streamlining your workflow and ensuring you never miss a moment. The optical design maintains sharpness and contrast even at close focusing distances.
Advanced Anti-Reflective Nano Coating
The lens elements feature NiSi’s multi-layer nano coating, which significantly reduces internal reflections, flare, and ghosting. This is particularly valuable when shooting into strong backlight or near bright light sources, where uncoated or poorly coated optics would produce unwanted artifacts. The result is cleaner contrast, richer color saturation, and improved clarity across the frame.
49mm Filter Adapter Required – To mount the NiSi Wide Conversion Lens (PR-10) to your camera, a compatible NiSi 49mm Filter Adapter is required. You will need to purchase the specific adapter made for your Ricoh GR model (GR III, GR IIIx, or GR IV) if you do not already own one.
