MacNair's Lum Reek 10 Year Old Cask Strength Batch 1 is the full-power edition of Billy Walker's peated blended malt, from the master distiller behind GlenAllachie who revived BenRiach and GlenDronach. "Lum reek" is old Scots for a smoking chimney, from the toast "lang may yer lum reek," and the recipe marries peated Islay single malts with unpeated Speyside malts, matured at the GlenAllachie distillery and bottled at natural cask strength, non-chill-filtered and naturally colored, in a 700mL bottle. The nose opens with layers of earthy Islay peat intertwined with vanilla, oak and a subtle sweetness, then a bold, unapologetic palate where the smoke takes center stage with charred oak, toffee, mocha and a touch of spice, finishing long, robust and warming. Batch 1 is a one-time release, which makes it a collector's piece for Walker fans and a rare treat for peat lovers who like their smoke undiluted.Buy MacNair's Lum Reek 10 Year Cask Strength Batch 1 Peated Blended Malt Scotch online with fast shipping right to your door.
